  1. Chrissaf I think you should have stated Peco Streamline is completely different to Hornby. Peco setrack is the same as Hornby. Edit. Have you changed your post? Edit again. Yes you did. 😉
  2. Would have thought X7125 were the older version but it appears not to be the case.
  3. X8030 is on the Ringfield service sheet.
  4. Looks to be two tender drive Gordons with different part number tyres. Pretty sure they are the same size though.
  5. Ah I see now. Which Gordon do you have.
  6. According to the service sheet you need X8030. Available from Hornby. Where did you get X7125 from.
  7. Wasn’t being picky, well not too picky. It’s a good looking model.
  8. It would annoy me. I added some etched brass ones to my A3. I didn’t glue them but change the wire handrails and extended them through holes drilled in the smokebox.
  9. The handrail should be level and parallel the the boiler handrail. Top of the deflector should be horizontal, well the back part.
  10. RH smoke deflector looks like it is drooping to the front or is it just the picture angle?
  11. I agree Jeremiah, I had a ViTrains 37 and always thought it was very well made. Ran beautifully.
  12. The Hornby set does appear occasionally. I know it's far from correct. http://www.hattons.co.uk/60234/Hornby_R3186_Trains_On_Film_Titfield_Thunderbolt_train_pack_with_14xx_lowmac_toad_brake_van_/StockDetail.aspx
  13. Yes Jacob I am aware of that which is why I said what I said. Almost all companies with connections to the toy trade are in trouble. I think perhaps Hornby will be able to afford to resurrect older products in the future but at present are really struggling just to keep their heads above water. Take a look at their share price.
  14. Hornby aren’t a car manufacturer/retailer. They like many toy companies from Lego to Toys R Us they are in not exactly in a position to spend hundreds of thousand of pounds restarting a product that has a niche market. I'm afraid there is little point in asking them to resurrect things from the past. Just be thankful they are still able, at the moment, to produce things for the future.
  15. I had a go on your layout at Ally Pally a few years ago PlanesTV, at least I think it was there. Very impressive.
  16. I wonder if the Live Steam product was popular. If it had been surely it would have continued. I know quite a lot of railway modellers but not one who purchased Live Steam. I thought it was a fantastic product but didn't buy it because I think it needs it’s own layout and I didn’t have the space.
  17. Only if the whole loco is gold plated and it has gold plated real coal and of course sound.
  18. It’s 6 pieces of fence, can’t believe it’s such a bargain. Think I’ll go for the other set as well.
