When you say isn't being made, do you mean by Hornby or all of the other companies. There are people who will build you any loco but it will cost a great deal of money.
Years ago on my old layout in the attic which had a circuit about 10X10 ft which gave a track length of about 40 ft, I attached all the rolling stock I could to a Wrenn Castle class loco. The coupling of the last wagon was about 1 inch away from the front of the loco, so I reckon about 39ft of coaches and wagons. No gradients.
I have a couple of Kings, early crest blue single chimney and early crest green double chimney, that'll do me. I really hope the 61XX makes an appearance, great favourite in my spotting days in Slough.
I reckon Hornby will have cornered the King market by the time the other version appears, if it does. Seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. No longer appears on Hattons project update list.
Thank you Percy I hope my advice is correct. If you are referring to my remark about it being a best seller I thank you kindly. If not I apologise. In future try not to be so rude it is very unbecoming.
Biggest selling product, tender drive A4?????? If I remember correctly one screw at the front under the bogie, lift front and slide body gently backwards until lug at back disengages. Service sheet shows screw and rear lug. Might have changed.
