  3. It seems like someone else had this mad idea ,collectors club exclusive class 66 ,,sound fitted playing ''g*d save the king''.
  4. Cost wise, how much has it cost you to make them compared to buying them.
  5. A little tip,,clean the track regular, like every time you are going to use it, i have for years cleaned the track with methylated spirits..
  6. Bullieds idea is the best,,,a separate device for your layout.
  7. While having a wash this morning I had this mad idea,,ive pre ordered the Coronation train, club exclusive,i thought ,hornby could have fitted this loco with sound but not the typical train sounds but maybe the National Anthem,,'',g*d save our gracious king''grinning
  8. Omega Links,,,that's what I was thinking of,,gringrin
  9. If im understanding this right, you have a dead section of track ,about 8 inches isolated at each end to the adjoining track at each end and you need it live !if it is you could solder some wire across the join, bridging the gap so to speak.
  10. I joined the club just a few days ago so I could pre order a club exclusive,,all I can say is it must be activated instantly,i made the pre order and was awarded the points at 15% of the purchase price ,,pending obviously,,through logging in to your account it knows you are a member, you don't need to wait for the pack to arrive.
  11. Same here Bullied although I had to join the club, at £149.99 its hard to turn down,i also pre ordered the P2 Thane of Fife at £199.99-£15.00 in points,,,quite pleased .
  12. Which 'CORONATION 'model are you referring to, is it the blue coronation train .
  13. Thankyou both for your replies,,,I had pre ordered the Trix/Marklin Flying Scotsman advertised with Rails of Sheffield not thinking that the scale difference would be that noticeable, majority of my stock is hornby oo gauge and I can visualise my oo gauge teaks on the back of the ho scotty,i have now cancelled that pre order ,,,,thankyou Martin.
  14. Hi, I know HO will run on OO and vice versa but the size comparison is it really noticeable,IE HO scotsman-OO scotsman, your thoughts really appreciated.
  15. Remember last year when Taw Valley was painted purple ,,well now its black, numbered 21c127 ,,looks really smart too,,,go over to the Severn Valley site to see for yourself .
  16. Everything is on Ebay nowadays, anything I need wether its model railway related or not I always search Ebay ,then the internet and amazon, facebook could be another place for you to try and sell your stock, there are plenty of model railway groups where you could advertise your self.
  17. I have just bought the flying scotsman centenary coach r40369 and a mag light kit for it,,the coach is really good with lots of detail and the interior lights are spot on with the colour, only thing I want to mention is i cut off 2 LED,s as per the instructions for a 4 wheel coach, now it leaves one compartment pretty much unlit, so take note incase you want to do the same.
  18. I don’t have a problem with accessing the points page, the problem I have is if I click on a item to view I don’t get any pictures of the item,I only have the written information,im using a MacBook Pro (old version) but it is fine on the iPhone which is not a newish model either.
  19. I have the observation car on pre order,im not fussed about the coaches, what loco would be best suited to haul this car ?
  20. Hi Fazy,,,thankyou for your reply, I have not seen the hornby programs as of yet but your answer is probably correct, it just got me thinking that you would have to buy the coaches to go with it, anyway hopefully your right and they can be swapped out for standard ones,,Martin
  21. Hi,,,looking at the pictures of this observation car it seems it is not fitted with the standard couplings, they look like the ones fitted to the Brighton belle 1934 models, am I right? I look forward to your replies.
  22. Hi,,don't rely on them getting back to you ,keep phoning them until you get an answer ,then you should be given a order repair number and hopefully you will get it returned repaired within 14 days or sooner.
