  1. I appear to have missed some replies to this topic. I am slacking for sure!  😮 😆 😉 😀

    @trainboy and company

    I like Arthur too. Despite his last appearance was back in 2008 in Series 12, he is one of my favourite characters. I always wanted Hornby to release Arthur, but now Hornby no longer have the Thomas & Friends license, I will just have to hope Bachmann Trains release him.

    @ThomasTankEngine

    Cool. Enoy your new Train Set.  😎 😉 😀

    I am 22 and I still love Thomas. I have a very large collection of OO / HO models, from Hornby and Bachmann Trains.

  2. Just think, it's possible I met LC&DR all those years ago!!!     😮

    If you did meet LC&DR all of those years ago, you wouldn’t have known!  😉  😀

  3. @bulleidboy

    It says that now, but the other day when added the membership to basket, is said free loco gift of the 2018 loco. It didn't say it in those words, but something like that. It also displayed the image of the 2018 loco, so I will hold on a bit on joining, to make sure I get the 2019 loco. Hopefully when the image appears on the website of it, this should confirm I get that when the stocks come in and I don't get the 2018 loco.

  4. I agree with HB, but if you go on the Collector Club page, on the 'Community' drop down box and add the membership to basket (Don't pay for it of course, as you are a member), it adds the 2018 loco to the basket. They should have the 2019 loco there too, so you can choose which one you want.

  5. I thought each indvidual member has a different membership ending, depending when you sign up to the club. Not everybody joins at the same time, so ebveryone ends their membership in a different part of the year to another member.

  6. It’s a bit. My guess is that Hornby want to get rid of the 2018 locomotives first. I want the 2019 locomotive, so I am waiting to join, but I don’t want the 2018 locomotive, which is still the current offer.

    As the image that howbiman has posted from the 2019 catalogue says, the stock is due in July, so the 2019 locomotive could be added when they come into stock.

  7. Why does Thomas have to be discontinued for Hornby to have an Class E2 Class in production? I'm guessing if the E2 Class does come back, it will be in the RailRoad range. RailRoad and Thomas & Friends are two seperate ranges. A Thomas shouldn't afftect also having an E2 Class in their catalouge, as well as Thomas, in my opinion.

    Left to right: New purchases from the past weekend. All are Bachmann Thomas & Friends models and are very rare. Found myself another Salt Wagon and 6 Ton Wagon. Also by the 6 Ton Wagon, you can see a figure. That is the Custom Conductor figure.

    Other models seen in the baclground that are not mentioned, are not new purchases.

  9. Scotsman 20040804, welcome to the Hornby Forum.  😀

    Good suggestion!  😉 😀

    Perhaps you should email Hornby Hobbies, with this suggestion.

    It looks as if trouble is brewing! Two Devious Diesel's have arrived from the Mainland, to help with the extra work on Sodor. I don't think they like each other though!  😆 😉 😀

  11. I don't have any cats. Have a dog, the layout is too high up for her to reach it. Murdoch is one of my favourite locomotives I have, so I don't many people touch him. There's no damage on him and I want to keeo him this way, even though I probably will never sell him, despite the money I could get for him.

  12. Very good and funny, Rob! If one took the RAC logo's and number's off, I think it would look like a portaloo! 😆

     I don't know why Hornby didn't use the same resin AA Kiosk for the RAC Kiosk. This wuld have beem cheaper and probably would have resulted in the RAC Kiosk being released so late and taking year after announcement to be released, which is riduclous for such tiny model.

    The AA Kiosk was released on time, April last year. Funny that a similar item, RAC Kiosk took so much longer. Both were new tollings.
