  1. Foden, hi, think you may be in a small minority, but, maybe an age thing. At 80, badges of NO interest. At least they are a talking point..
  2. I suppose its cos i started with Elink, but i find RM lets you look at the whole picture, when reading CVs. I have never had one change back. Raf is the Elite expert, but there is a third option, as you could programme on the Main, if all else fails. I have had to do this twice for american locos to change CVs. Needs reading up though. I have a spare Elite, for this, saves taking other locos off.
  3. pardon my ignorance, but why are you not using Railmaster to program, with prog track. I have both, but find RM, more visual.
  4. One must remember a comment made earlier, TT, was totally Simons baby. We dont know the cost of his launch, but Hornby have to be realistic. The Market demand for TT, now that the initial surge, has ended, is nothing like that of 00, which is their bread and butter, so the enthusiasm to keep producing new models, must take its place in the overall picture. I am not surprised an element of caution, has crept in, with new management. They have to protect their market share by bringing out long overdue back orders on 00 locos. Lets hope Sports Direct, like TT.
  5. Critical/ non critical. Gosh, it’s a hobby, tis only model trains. I don’t need a sermon with my Sunday breakfast.
  6. Cedric. last sentence, makes no sense, sorry. Should read, Suggest you look on line, they are available.
  7. Cedric, hi, if you proceed could you post the steps you take to fit, as I have that loco . These locos are also sold, with sound fitted, you suggest , one /two, are out there.
  8. I must say I anticipated just this question. Can we simply abandon these stupid rankings, before somebody takes offense and leaves. Whoever thought these up , needs their head examined.
  9. , Rob said she posted under name Ruffnot Thorston, ( sorry, tis an age thing). SOT, posted as himself, and Ruffnut, and Sarahagain. At least thats how i understood it. No doubt, SOT, will clarify in due course. All posts from all 3 names, were always usually Triang based.
  10. It was not a her, it was SOT.
  11. This is SOT, son of Triangman. There is no one on forum, more knowledgeable on Triang. He became. Ruffnot Thornton.
  12. Ratch, Hi, does this mean that a little banter, and off piste, is more tolerated on Airfix and Scalextric, forums. I would hate to think we are not all being treated the same.
  13. I don’t particularly want an off topic thread. Just a tad of latitude, like days of old, when Banter, (Graskie) style, was allowed, without the police immediately arriving. I understand it’s Hornby driven, but, a little off piste, never hurt anyone. Just out of interest our our emails within the forum going to be spied on.
  14. What do points mean————- Prizes.
  15. Hi, Rog, not a problem, Just Saying. You must be kinda busy.
  16. There was a lot of discussion prior to new forum, being released, that there would be a new section, even names were discussed. Has this been totally ignored by Hornby Towers, and if so, what was the point of asking our opinion, in the first place?.
  17. I also think Brilliant is a bit OTT. Its certainly, in your face. I just select Hornby, then unread, unless i know where i want to go. Tis certainly quick.
  18. ok, so taken a bit of time to understand it. whether i like it, jury still out. All that matters to me, is that i am able to find my way around. Well done to Hornby, for preserving previous forum postings.
  19. Roger, hi, surely the forums have not been joined together. Have NO interest in reading about cars or aircraft.
  20. whats the Ranking all about. Are we being graded for quality of comments?.
  21. If the DCApp is updated, does it mean all the connection problems return. Just saying.
  22. Might be worth talking to Hornby. When I had a problem, they let me return it, and it was sorted.
  23. Now you see why we need a Banter section. Hear Hear, Fishy.
  24. Rob, yup, totally agree. Unfortunately, i remember the old friendly forums, where banter and the odd wondering, was not only accepted, but joined in with. I dont like the present forum, so for me, anything would be an improvement. je ne conform pas.
