So when a decoder fitted loco is standing on an analogue track the PROM is pre-programmed to accept a change of polarity from the DC controller which in turn switches the polarity to the two motor rails and subsequently the lighting LEDs...........HB PS......I have just been running a Hornby class 56 with Loksound V4 on DC using the ubiquitous R965 controller, the engine sounds work just the same as on DCC (but no other functions of course) and the lights front and rear switch correctly.........HB

It's the blanking plate that provides power to the lights by linking Rt pickup to motor+ & Rear light and Lt pickup to motor- & Front light which is then controlled by the circuit board. Service sheet HSS 383B shows current to the lights is via contact blades & plates which you may have displaced also there is a day/night switch under the chassis which needs to be on........HB

Well my view is that Hornby could hardly be expected to offer a model for sale without an estimated delivery date.........they wouldn't get any buyers.........I have one of these on order but 'am I bovvered' if it arrives in March or April?.......No!............ 😆............HB

I've just run through the join-up pages, there is no mention of the 2018 loco and no image of the old one...... I have no doubt that the Diesel shunter will be provided........... 😆.........HB

To my mind, Hornby are now legally obligated to supply the new 2019 Club model as advertised to any Member joining in 2019......it is pertinent to your contract with them on paying the membership fee.........HB

The old Thomas molds are not accurate enough being too short for a new E2 model, also Thomas has splashers which do not appear on the E2..........another manufacturer makes 4 examples of the E1 from which the E2 was derived, a very nice looking little engine.........HB

@XBONET.........I have just entered the Hornby Mag Princess Coronation competition (thanks for the reminder).......there was a following page that thanked for my entry..........I was able to enter a second time after a couple of minutes.........the competition winners are always announced in the Hornby magazine in the next edition after each draw........HB
