  1. Yes I shall be there. Look forward to it.
  2. Afraid not Howard, they're toys. 😉
  3. Yeah right Jacob. Must remember that things that run on batteries/radio control such as garden railway, radio controlled aircraft and cars etc. are toys.
  4. This from a Thomas collector 😆
  5. Not so sure about children, fancy one myself.
  6. I know you should see the state of the bathroom window. 😆
  7. "but will maybe show just how old the people are that follow this build." Age is just a number, trouble is it's a big number.
  8. OK. I have ballasted all my OO track on an 8x8ft layout with 2 circuits and many sidings with a medium sized bag of N gauge ballast and it didn't weigh very much at all. You don't have to add a thick layer.
  9. I am amazed by your work. Considering the amount of time it has taken you to get it running, I'd have thought you would have just glued a non working light on to the bunker. 😆
  10. Nice picture on "preservesbritishsteamlocomotives.com" from May 2018 showing the handrail along the side of the tender.
  11. Lidls do some excellent cabinets and they are available occasionally on special offer. Highly recommended and worth waiting for.
  12. Bit like this. /media/tinymce_upload/7d6d5462d64ba0afbe7b601a8961339e.jpg This is the bridge clearance /media/tinymce_upload/a50c2afd829ece5966bd163d41b5bfe4.jpg
  13. For a bridge I have 2 1/2 inches clearance from the top of the rails. Looks and is about right. The shallower a gradient the better it is but as Atom said if it goes up it has to go down again. So 1:30 means 5ft to rise 2 inches. Curved gradients need to be shallower.
  14. I put a roof on mine as you can see in the photo.
  15. At the top of the forum page go to Menu/Community/Hornby Club. Don't really recall there being a club page as such, just shows you how to join and the club locos.
  16. I extended a Dapol version to span 4 tracks without any central supports. /media/tinymce_upload/e5827e5369c51f375f572d9fa50e59c9.JPG
  17. Prongs are part of the bogie, most if not all steam locos have them for clearing rubbish off the rails.
  18. Unless it's like when I went to Norway, it was very cold. 😆
  19. That's good, thought they might have got delayed. China isn't anybody's favourite place.
  20. Not that at all but if you haven't been what's the point of saying what you did. Bit like you asking me what's it like in Mexico. I've no idea but if it's like Norway it'll be cold, but if it's like Singapore it'll be hot. 😆 If you went to the trouble of looking at the Doncaster MRE it says it is at the racecourse so looks like it's pretty big.
