  1. Your are joking I hope. I have several books that cost over £40. Surely going by what you are saying a model loco should only be a few quid, just a bit of plastic and metal after all. Magazines you chuck away are a fiver.
  2. Like I said they may bring out a new version based on their 9F.
  3. People will always pay silly money for something they really want but if they don't want it you will lose money. For instance Bachmann may well bring out a new Murdoch that knocks spots off the Hornby version and yours will be worth very little. Much like the old Hornby APT, their value will go down. But of course you bought your Thomas products because you like them.
  4. Chris can you buy flickering LED's or do they require special circuitry?
  5. I don't believe storage makes any difference. I had a Class 31 that was looked after perfectly and it cracked.
  6. In my view toys/models are not a good investment apart from the Star Wars type products. Years ago I had a fairly large collection of mint limited edition Models Of Yesteryear vehicles. Probably cost me on average 5 to 10 pound each. Got 25 pence each for them except for two very rare ones. Got £2 each for them. ☹️
  7. We made a Kitmaster loco, might have been a Britannia Class or similar, over 50 years ago and I seem to recall the detail was incredible.
  8. January was yesterday. https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/rivarossi-club
  9. Summer houses don't necessarily have a lot of glass, no more than some rooms. Just add blinds. Really just a posh shed.
  10. Great reply, again, LC. British Rail Wagons: The First Half Million is available on Amazon and eBay.
  11. Dixie make your request to Hornby by email. They rarely if ever read this section or any other. Making your suggestions to us won't make it happen I'm afraid. 😉
  12. If you are using up to date locos avoid 1st rad.
  13. It has an Airfix coupling. Stripes are definitely a different colour.
  14. Welcome to the forum. You'll have to email Hornby and ask them. They rarely look at the forum and then probably only the wishlust section.
  15. I wasn't being serious Jacob surely you can see that. I reckon all China made products could be delayed for a long time.
  16. Google "OO telegraph poles" for example and those available will appear. 😀
  17. Glad you are persevering with it Gowest, one of my favourite locos.
  18. It does pivot on the RTR versions.
  19. When it arrives from China and given the situation over there at present I would suggest a very long time. Last years arrived around October.
  20. Perhaps he had more important things on his mind. 😉
  21. Barry I wish you had mentioned before that it wasn't the original tender.
  22. I'm sure it will be sorted eventually. We'll survive. Try one of the other forums which aren't provided by the companies we are discussing. Lots of us are on them.
  23. No don't solder wires to the fishplates. They are the weakest electrical link on the track. Solder to the track.
