  1. I contacted Oxford Rail about their suggestion to use 3 in 1, never did get a response.
  2. Sounds like the puckups aren't always in contact with the wheels.
  3. Donall your other locos run perfectly?
  4. Might rejoin if they offer that and a voucher instead of a loco. Doesn't show discount for me. They had the discount last year for a few days then realised it was a mistake and withdrew it.
  5. Is it the same as this. https://www.rafkinlossmrc.co.uk/info.html
  6. You did Howard and I didn't respond because it doesn't affect me. 😆
  7. Oxford Rail say use a light engineering oil such as 3 in 1.
  8. After much thought I have decided not to rejoin even though the latest magazine is very good. I gave the last loco away. Much prefer the voucher and the 10% discount.
  9. We had them on our local line pulling new underground stock to Neasden depot. Two CL20 on the front and two on the back. Lovely sound. Like this. They came in several different liveries. /media/tinymce_upload/1d69f04cef205335a3b4a0a8ffe9182f.JPG
  10. Could say I told you so but I won't. 😆
  11. The colour of 50 year old trains will be nothing like it was when first painted. You need to paint the whole thing then it will look as it was when new.
  12. I just googled "key publishing and hornby 2020 catalogue offer" and got that link. Simples. 😆
  13. Is it this. https://shop.keypublishing.com/product/View/productCode/SPECHM20BUN/Hornby%20Catalogue/HM%20Feb%202020%20Bundle
  14. I said that Jacob but after a short while they used them cab first for better visibility. Much like a steam loco if there isn't a turntable available it can't be turned round.
  15. The only accurate way to match a colour is to take a specimen of the colour to compare to the colours in the shop. What are you comparing the colour you have bought with? Are you trying to match it with the colour on the trains. If they are old the paint may have faded quite a lot.
  16. Here's a start. http://www.everythingaberystwyth.co.uk/aberystwyth-train-station/
  17. I only use one finger. It's an extremely fast finger unlike the rest of me. I like to try and keep my replies as short as possible. I don't usually read long posts so assume others don't either.
  18. Think I typed a bit quicker than you. 😉
  19. I use 80/20 water glue. Takes a little longer to dry but doesn't set like concrete, more like toffee, easier to remove should it be necessary. Just mix it up occasionally to stop the glue settling.
  20. Then I guess a blob of glue on top might help as long as it doesn't stick the arm to the pin.
  21. I believe in was designed to go nose first like a steam loco but it was found drivers visibility was better cab first. They then used them in pairs nose to nose. /media/tinymce_upload/0954fe9ea329758c625e17eb235fe054.JPG
