  1. I do the same Caiptean, pretty much the standard way. If you search through this forum for posts asking how to ballast, and there are a lot, the advice given is pretty much word for word what you stated. I use a very weak PVA to water mix, something like 1 to 10, then the ballast doesn't turn into concrete. 😮
  2. It is so nice to see a decent video. I'm afraid we have occasionally had some dire ones in the past.
  3. That's OK not a problem, that's what we are here for. Trackshack have it at a pretty good price but only one BR version left.
  4. Mjb looks like it will have to be Hattons at £189. Rails have sold out so they can advertise a price as low as they like. 😆
  5. Did you enjoy the show Jacob? First year I couldn't make it. Just right for you, trains and cars. 😆
  6. Of course. Must go got to iron my wierdo t-shirt.
  7. Hi Walkingthe dog. No, what I said was "I was hoping to". Up to now I only have to new Locos , an M7 and a Terrier, the rest are from that famous online auction site. Kevin I have only had one loco a Class 31 break due rot out of over 100 so I reckon you'll be OK.
  8. Ha ha, not so sure it counts wearing glasses HB. 😆
  9. Are you saying you have lots of locos that are breaking up or are you asking if new ones do it? Margate won't do you much good, Hornby aren't there any more.
  10. I won't buy a loco if it isn't in a box. I did sell one once without a box because for some reason I just couldn't find it. I wrapped it so well I reckon who ever bought it is still unwrapping it.
  11. Little reminder for you as well Jacob, if you quote somebody who has posted a picture don't post the picture again, one copy is enough. Hope you're OK and still enjoing your trains.........and cars.......and lorries. WTD 😆
  12. Hey HB there is a bloke on the other forum who has done exactly the same thing, how weird is that. Nice work.
  13. OK you win. Hattons have more than 10 I believe, very rare. It's like the shop on this forum. It often says out of stock. That doesn't mean they are all gone it just means Hornby don't have any left. -THE END -
  14. Oh for heavens sake Jacob just because something is discontinued it can take years for the whole stock to be sold. Did you check to see if there were any available. Somebody on here bought a brand new Q1 loco the other day that hasn't been made for years.
  15. Why wouldn't they Jacob. Hornby make 2000 Tornado's, send them out to the retailers then stop making them. Retailers sell 1800 of them and guess what, still 200 in the shops for sale. It's hardly rocket science.
  16. Jacob, Hattons and Rails both have it in stock about £69 new.
  17. Yeah OK Jacob just trying to help. TTHE says Truro doesn't move in the episode so it doesn't need a motor. Don't know why I bother. Sometimes we have to compromise Jacob.
  18. It's a kit Jacob, you make it then add Truro name/number plates. I think it might be Truro though.
  19. Airfix/Dapol make a splendid City class loco.
  20. Nice work Barry. If I can post pictures on flickr anybody can do it. 😆
  21. Help yourself Jeff. You may notice in one picture there is a station and in another it has changed to a goods yard. I rarely run passenger trains so decided the station was a waste of time. If I do run coaches they are empties returning to the depot, none have passengers anyway.
