It sounds as if you bought this wagon pack from Hatton’s Model Railways, as they customise product numbers, by adding ‘-PO’ and then two numbers on the end.
The ‘PO’ stands for pre-owned and the number identifies the exact product to send the customer if, they have more than one used example of the product.
The product the number of the wagon pack you own railrwister, is R6228 on it‘s own.

I'm interested in the Blue Pullman power cars and coaches kits. What are the product niumbers for them and do know their age?

I knew you were not being serious and I knew you were joking, Brian. I knew it wouldn't arrive this quickly.

Oh sorry, I didn't realise it was a static model, that you are converting to a model that will run on a model railway. I will have a look at the workbench thread for those images. I very rarely look at that thread, but I haven't done for a long time.

Yes, different camers capture colours differently, but there's defintely a colour difference between Boroal's and Jimyjames' Class 31 models.

Two different shades of green between the two locomotives however, Jimyjames.

I very much doubt that the 2020 club locomotive will appear at the Hornby Hobbies warehouse tomorrow. I doubt the factory in China has started production of the models yet. I reckon they will be around the towards the end of the year, just like last year's models were, just as Brian (walkingthedog) stated above.

That motor bogie unit that you have found, is for a Hornby locomotive though, as it is in a plastic packet with one of Hornby's spare part numbers, printed onto a sticker label.

I'm sorry to say this Hornby, but I agree with you, StuBaggyBoy. The Hornby Thomas models from 2015 - 2016 are rubbish. They are just good for collectors pieces, but useless for running. There's too many problems, with the motors, conrods, wonky wheels, paint finishes and just general assembly of the models, yet I can't find any Hornby models from their standard range made at that time, with the same amount issues. These Thomas models were based on the RailRoad range, yet due to licensing fees added to the products they costed the consumer more money to buy. The quality should have been no worse just because they are Thomas products. I still can't understand today in 2020, why there's so many problems with the 2015 and 2016 made models, which be probably the last ever made Hornby Thomas products. They may as well had been static display models, without motors fitted.

Oh, OK. Thank you for posting the reply anyway and at least somebody at Hornby Hobbies took the time to reply. It's always good when compamies reply, even if their message small or if it's about a samll matter / subject. 😀

I do look after him. I bought it when it was released in 2011, ofr under £80.00. That's like 80p compred what the model is worth today. I have seen auction on eBay go fro £400.00 - £600.00, so there's a lot of desperate people to get their hands on a Hornby Murdoch.

Jimyjames, perhaps 0fftherails purchased the train set originally back in 1991, intending to use it and build a layout in the future and / or purchased it as an investent, hoping that it grows in value to resell it in the future.

0fftherails, welcome to the Hornby Forum. 😀
Perhaps the motor has seized up. If it has never run in it's 28 year life, so I suspect the oil may have dried up.
If I were you, I would relist it on eBay describing it's condition, or you could at your own cost, find somebody to repair it for you, to try and increase the value of it. As it's a none runner, it's worth much less than £100.00.

Thank you for posting the link to that YouTube video, HB. I really enjoyed seeing the prototype models for the new releases this year, across all of Hornby Hobbies' brands. 😀

Thank you for that information, LC&DR. I could tell they were old, by the box styles and designs. Modern boxes always look more shiney! 😆
Please most images on the forum once you have built them, if you intend on building them, LC&DR. 😉 😀
