  1. The closest I can come to a HAR3 as a new tool is a HAS5. Could you post the product code?
  2. Well Jess, IME and irrespective of site, Chrome is the best browser for PC, then Firefox, and MS browsers are best only used to download a better browser unless a specific site only works with Internet Explorer or with Edge.
  3. Yes, and apart from the bang seat, RWR pod and laser nose, the GR3 is identical to both as well.
  4. As Ratch says above, but shake the varnish for at least a minute before opening the pot and stirring it until you get an even liquid texture.
  5. No photos, but, except during servicing most Harriers would have either the ADEN pods or a pair of strakes on the fuselage hard points because they increased lift during VTOL evolutions.
  6. Nice. Also, FWIW the SAR bird has a different main cabin layout to the Junglie (qv); One caution if you buy the starter kit SAR bird the dinghy pack is shown as the wrong colour (grey instead of yellow).
  7. Of those, not sure the Jaguar needs re-tooling rather than just reissuing in a "Vintage Classics" box. A retooled Hampden would more or less complete a range of RAF 1930s-WW2 light and medium bombers. I'd love some new Westland Whirlwinds, a "Twin Pin" (and indeed a Prestwick Pioneer too).
  8. Hi Ron, as Ratch says on site rules. Beyond that, topsails would not always be rigged even when a full rigged ship was under sail at sea, so the 2 crushed sails shouldn't matter that much.
  9. These parts would also allow a film version of a "633 Squadron special", with the addition of turned brass Browning muzzles.
  10. OK, got it now thanks.
  11. I see your point Ratch. I'm really not a fan of pre-miscoloured tampo-printed etchings or of the use of a single thickness of flat shim stock to represent something that should be a round section.
  12. So, if I'm understanding you correctly, these are decal belts still attached to the backing paper, yes? If so, I think I have a new "go to method" thanks.
  13. I agree with Heather about the masking tape belts. If you use an automotive tape rather than a model-making tape, it's even a useful canvas colour.
  14. If it helps any, I've got a photo (sorry, copyright) of a HAS-1 with natural sheepskin covers on the 2 cockpit seats.
  15. 1) No idea what scale the Scalextric model is. Ask nicely in an LMS if you can measure one up maybe? 2) As Ratch says above, Airfix did a 1/24 scale kerbside TR7 coupe, which is the right model TR7-8 for your BA project, and even comes with Minilite wheels, which you'll probably want. 3) The only other version I can think of other than diecasts is a Revell TR8 convertible in 1/25 scale, which is the wrong body, and came with Weller 8 spoke steel wheels.
  16. As Ratch says, stands are not directly scaled, but you can find sets of various size Airfix kit stands on Amazon (and probably Fleabay). As to Partick's comment, are you trying to suggest that a 1/48 scale single engine propeller aeroplane kit is heavier than an 1/72 scale medium bomber, or indeed a 1/144 scale airliner?
  17. "Kingkit" -> "kit collector prices". A very different thing to what kit/accessory is worth to a builter.
  18. And/or a first or second series Vosper MTB, a Motor Gun Boat, or another new/current class lifeboat.
  19. "front canopy is damaged" - Not so as I'd notice from this picture. Regarding "proving you've bought the kit", did you notice a small white sticker on the underside of the box? I think Airfix want the code from that sticker as well as the product code as proof of purchase.
  20. Well, "unexpected error occurred" is not just meaningless but worse than useless because it means there is an underlying error, but someone (either at Airfix or at jopres' ISP and I honestly can't say which) has chosen to actively overwrite the actual message. "504 bad gateway" is normally a timeout message raised by the ISP layer rather than by the owners of the website you're looking at. I'd agree that a confirmation e-mail for attempts to upload photos would be helpful.
  21. Just for the record, my issue with "remember me" has now been resolved, at least so it works how I like,
  22. I'd actually sooner a Triumph Trident (T150, T150V or T160), but those all need different fuel tank, side covers, silencers and frame from a BSA Rocket III, and may need a different crankcase because the cylinders are at a different angle on all but the T160.
  23. On the subject of varnishing figures the rule used ( 40 years ago anyway) to be gloss for durability for wargaming and matt for looks for dioramas.
  24. Er, the for'ard "A-4" looks more like a Westland Wessex to me! grinning
  25. Well, I'm not sure how well the link will work, but you can download the instruction book from Scalemates at H.M.S. Victory, Heller 80897 (198#) (scalemates.com) , and it took me about as long to read Jess's message and do a Google search as it has to type this message.
