  1. Responded here... https://uk.scalextric.com/community/forum/c2391ac2392-c-class-amg-dtm-spares-372843?ccm_paging_p=1#end-of-replies closed
  2. Swap meets are the best for that... Otherwise that is one of the few good uses of Facebook groups. There are some online retailers and/or online auction sites that offer spares...
  3. Look in the guide about the "rule of three" ... once you open the app you may have to re-assign the drivers and cars to get things working as you want...
  4. How big is your track? I have successfully run a 30 meter (100 foot) layout and 6 cars with the two standard power packs and no jumper cables. You could be getting cross talk from the jumpers...
  5. Hi Mike, Digital racing is really ace once it all gets up and running properly. First question: Is everything OK in analog (ARC AIR) mode? I.e. getting cars/controllers to work, lap counting, pit stops etc? If yes then there is nothing wrong with the powerbase and it is likely to the complexities of ARC PRO. I suggest giving this a read through: https://slotracer.online/community/showthread.php?tid=181&page=4 It explains some o the rules around binding/pairing controllers etc. If that is still not helping go back to square one and set up the shortest oval you can with 1 digital lane changer. Try re-binding and pairing. If that doesn't help borrow another device and see if it is indeed the tablet. If it is still not behaving it could, on very rare occasions be things like other bluetooth devices or even your wifi signal causing the issues. To test that you will have to move the whole track I am afraid... Good luck!
  6. HI Lee, Start here: https://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice?support_advice_type=all&page=1 Regards
  7. Hi Patsy, That is a rare item indeed... Your best bet is a local club if you have one. Swap meets and boot sales are also good but not many this time of year. There are many Facebook groups about Scalextric so you could try one or more of those. I have only ever seen a complete track at the UK SlotFest in Gaydon. Good luck!!
  8. The standard APP only ever allows 1 pace car. With ARC AIR that means 1 Pace car, 1 human. With ARC PRO that means 1 Pace car and up to 5 humans. The Magic app can let you have as many pace cars as the system allows. ARC AIR can have 1 pace 1 human OR 2 pace no humans. ARC Pro can have up to 6 pace cars or 1 pace car and 5 humans, or 2 pace cars and 4 humans , 3 pace and 3 humans etc... There isn't a video but there are guides here: https://slotracer.online/community/showthread.php?tid=181&page=4 I think he did a guide on Magic as well...
  9. Swap meets are best for that... there are online groups in Facebook that allow sales as well.
  10. I am not sure I understand the question. It has always been the case with ARC PRO that you can have 1 pace car and 5 human controlled cars. With ARC AIR you can have 1 human driven car and 1 pace car... The Magic APP allows you to have up to 6 pace cars in ARC PRO or 2 in ARC AIR.
  11. Hi Hugh, Scalextric "Sport" as the 1/32 scale system is called has not changed in well over 15 years. Apart from the general condition of the track (i.e. rust) there really is nothing that can go wrong with it. I have lugged entire layouts to events and fairs and it was always fine. Digital components have also been the same since its inception so there is always compatibility there as well. iPad would require that the power base be of the ARC series. I think almost all is explained here: https://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice?support_advice_type=all&page=1 good luck and let us know if you need more help!
  12. Hi Steve, I rejected the other posts as they all seemed to be the same. The easiest thing to do is take it out of the package and look for any words, numbers or symbols that you can combine with "scalextric" and google it. Compare photos and you should be able to narrow it down as to what it is. Both Hornby Scalextric and Spanish Scalextric aka SCX produced a Castrol Celica so it could be form either brand. The Spanish one will like say "SCX" somewhere and will have a longer, squarer motor that the standard Hornby round can. Other than that take good pictures of the bottom and interior and use a 9 volt battery to see if the motor spins. Don't worry about what it is "worth". It is worth whatever someone is willing to pay and that could be a lot or very little. I have bought cars "worth" 50€ for 1€ and sold them for 20€ ... Good luck!
  13. Hi Shaun, Take a picture please. It will have to be approved so you may have to wait a day or two.... My guess is that it is not the same but a picture will give certainty...
  14. True... the TR7 slot cars' wheels and tires/tyres were not 100% correct back in the day...
  15. I am partial to the "Sports Six" group which basically every that is based on a Herald, i.e. Spitfire, GT6, Herald, Vitesse and some Bond (car brand not the spy..) models. There was a racing Vitesse in New Zealand that looks amazing with its furrowed brow... :-D
  16. Tampo can be removed fairly easily with nail polish remover (there are some without acetone) and sometimes alcohol so it is not too terribly uncommon. The only thought I had was maybe this is a Germany-specific model as it is part of the German Touring Car series. Whoever did it put everything in the correct place. Regarding the "L": One of my biggest gripes on products today is the lack of clear labeling. For years I didn't know what iPhone I had because it is not marked on the outside. Yes I am sure there is some setting somewhere but I prefer not requiring more than a glance to figure it out. Hornby also has a habit of putting series and article numbers on parts that bear little to know resemblance as to what the product actually is. The bottom of the track usually only has a be letter on like, "L" or "C"... you need some sort of Rosetta stone table to know what it all means... For really technical stuff like a wiring diagram I understand but for every day things I htink it is a bit annoying...
  17. Where did you buy it? If it was from Hornby you will have to ask them...
  18. I was always wondering the other way round.. for example there is the Triumph Herald and TR4 that could be made into slot cars...
  19. Any Triumph and I'm there....
  20. Has anyone actually contacted them directly? The info is at the bottom of this page... I am not a Hornby employee just a volunteer so real customers contacting them might help...
  21. Feel free to contact Hornby directly using the info below. I am not a Hornby employee (I do this out of the kindness of my own heart) so contacting them directly might help.
  22. In a pinch you can use the C7004 retro chip on any analog car (including non-Hornby) to digitize it...
  23. I have never heard or seen this and I am on about 4 different forums. Could you maybe provide some links? I am also not aware of any software that would support this. I may have overlooked something so please divulge what you can... :-)
  24. According to this: https://uk.scalextric.com/products/1967-daytona-24-triple-pack-c4391a They are not DPR (Digital Plug Ready). That means you will have to use the C7005 "retro chip" and solder it into wires coming form the guide to the motor and drill a small 3 mm hole about 1 cm behind the guide blade for the LED. Given the size and shape of the cars it shouldn't be too terribly difficult. Small tip: Use micro connectors and you can plug and unplug the chip if you want to go analog racing as chipped cars act a little erratically on analog setups.
