Captain Triggers
The cars forum in my view is about to die, maybe to do with the lack of cars? I think we need some british cars in 1/24 or 1/32 scale.
Ratch
When I posted my build of the Dennis Fire Engine you was the only person to comment, so yes, the car forum is as good as dead.
nmcabecadas
Airfix don't invest in cars, so its just normal to see what is happening, or not, in the cars forum.

Kenneth ONeill
There's precious little new material being produced (or even kits that have been sitting in the tool store for 30 years), and what there is isn't in the usual 1/24(or 1/25) and 1/43 scales for vehicle models. NWR-Gordon-4
I love cars. I don't know whay I never read and post in this section. I must do it! @Ratch I must see your model of the Dennis Fire Engine. That sounds cool. Is the thread still around, or has it been deleted? Rogerbass
Well Revell 1.32 cars seem to be selling well on ebay, the w beetle, beach buggy, opel and street rod are all re-releases and are finding homes.

Hard to tell, I hope we will but, unfortunatly, I doubt it. shame really but I guess things with wings sell better.
Bletch
Here we go again! No new product means there's little to build/show/discuss really-sorry but i dont count the "quick-builds"! Hate to flog dead horses but other manufacturers seem to find room for cars/trucks-some specialise in them and stay in business but nothing from Airfix. Ultimate irony when a French manufacturer brings out a new kit of a tractor that started the Airfix line!

leslie entwhistle
me again ,ive built airfix cars for as long as i can rmember till i found other manufactures and a different scale (1/24th 1/25th ) ,they are far superior as regaurds detail you can also get photo etch parts to add more detail ,if airfix were to go down the 1/24th 1/25th scale i would start buying them again
peebeep
Historically, Airfix have done 1/24 and 1/25 cars, but they were usually other manufacturer's tooling re-boxed.
Airfix81mode
it might be idea for airfix to come in to the electric cars market. If it’s on the forecourt to buy in a showroom. It should be available to build. Car manufacturers. Like this because it promotes their cars. Airfix Just need to produce an model kit of today Instead of yesterday.bring your model up to date airfix.
Captain Triggers
I'm sure some modern Aston's would also be very floggable. Electric cars just don't capture a potential client's eye. Why client? Because you need enough models of exiting stuff to keep all these people coming back.
paul-muc
They could easily make a street version of the DBR9 or the Jaguar XKR GT3. Beautiful cars, but if there ist no interest .......
Andy P.
1/32 would mean they could do double duty as a Scalextric car and 1/24 scale is also a common slot car scale...
