  1. Like the look of that Eric, will buy one.
  2. You could be right DB but some have Hel after the model number and say unnumbered, and some have Customised after the number and indicate they will number it for you. 😆
  3. It's the number. Most diesels come without headcode numbers. It also mentions no number and name.
  4. Oh well looks like they are giving OO another try.
  5. How about this: https://www.hattons.co.uk/464301/heljan_45108hel_class_45_0_peak_in_br_green_with_small_yellow_panels_and_split_centre_headcode_/stockdetail.aspx There are several others and some that will be customised by them to your choice, There was no need to publish that list, it isn't a competition. 😉
  6. I saw a layout at Eastleigh a few years ago where the chap had a smoke generator under the layout. It was a model of a loco sheds and at certain places where locos would be stationary the smoke/steam eminated from beneath the loco.
  7. Why not just buy what is available and repaint/renumber it? Very rewarding.
  8. I would buy an oil from a model railway retailer. I use one of these. This is just an example https://www.amazon.co.uk/Modelcraft-POL1000-Precision-Lubricator/dp/B000ZIXVAS/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=model+railway+oil&qid=1573823251&sr=8-10#customerReviews
  9. DBfan they are doing it in OO as well, at least they are with the CL45.
  10. It's the difference between railway modellers who like to do their own thing and model railwayers who just want to play trains LC.
  11. Jj I think your idea looks more realistic.
  12. Hattons says "Due into stock between December 2019 & January 2020".
  13. 3 in 1 is not recommended for model locos. Doesn't like plastic.
  14. Heljan make some I think. Just checked, they do.
  15. Glad you got a result. Every time I purchase a tank loco I always remove the coal to replace it with real coal. Perhaps that is good practice, you never know what you will find. 😀
  16. If you are a freelancer, You just remove any unwanted markings and change them.
  17. We don't really know when work on the Terrier was started, but perhaps Hornby told China stop everything and concentrate on that loco. We'll never know.
  18. I'm afraid it is the way the Chinese work. When it gets put on the boat it will arrive. This affects all companies that have their products made in China. I don't think Hornby, Bachmann etc., should publish any availability dates until the product arrives. It will arrive, luckily not matter of life or death. 😉
  19. I think it looks dreadful. Smoke and steam is generally blasted out of a loco, as Chris said this stuff rises about 2 inches then drops to the ground in lumps. There are just some things you can't realistically model.
  20. Thanks Rob. I can see no harm in advertising a product that Hornby don't make, particularly if the company concerned don't make locos and rolling stock. The product mentioned in this post and things like soldering irons etc.
  21. I don't own a set, really should get one.
  22. How about this. https://www.dccconcepts.com/product/bearing-reamers-set-of-two/
  23. If you think they should be a mirror image of each other and if they are made of wire, why not gently reshape the offending item.
  24. 80/20 water/PVA works very well, and as I said the ballast doesn't dry like concrete.
