Thank you for the image, 81F. I have never seen a Class 33 like that before. I hope somebody will recgonise it though, after seeing that image, however. 😀

Well at least you got your money back. How much was the kit when it was new and in production?
I don't thtink it would take a lifetime to complete, but certainly a few months or years, depending how long you spend assembling it and how fast you are assembling plastic kits.

Please can you post pictures, 81F? Thank you. 😀

@T2B
Over 3000 parts?! That does not even look like it contains that many! My goodness. It's very deceiving! 😆 😉 😀
Out of interest, do you still what you built of the kit, or did you sell it?
@james_mower
What needs cleaning on the parts, before they can be assembled together and painted? Factory dust / dirt?

I'm hoping for an extra special Hornby 2020 Year Wagon, similar to the Hornby 2000 Wagon, which was a 100T LWB Tanker painted sliver. I'm not wanting / hoping for exactly for the same wagon with 2020 decals on instead of 2000 decals on, but some sort of LWB wagon that's not usual, painted in another colour than the usually red, which is the main colour for these wagons. I'm hoping for a different colour for this year and for a unusual wagon.

You are very welcome, R850/57. 😀
I am glad I was able to be of assistance, with thanks to Going Spare, for providing the part number, of the cyclinder block needed.

Wow, that ship looks impressive! What scale is it?
Your latest purchase of the Ventura Mk. II RAF kit is a good one. 😉 😀

Hornby previously produced a Radio Control & Sound System, as part of the Thomas & Friends range, back in the early 2000’s (R9060).
The same Radio Control & Sound System was also part of R9044 Toby Electric Train Set and the R9045 Thomas & Percy Electric Train Set, both part of the Hornby Thomas & Friends range also.
These three products are difficult to find these days and are usually expensive.

That glue seems expensive to me, plus that extra postage cost added on top. Unless you would be placing an order for multiple items with Deluxe Materials, I would rather find it in a shop and save the postage money! 😉 😀
37lover, I will check Deluxe Materials’ website out later. Thank you. 😀

@GSX550ES
I searched 'Roket Paper Glue', but the search results found me Roket Card Glue from Deluxe Materials. Is this the glue product you are looking for?
If it is, then it appears to be a modeller's glue, so I very much doubt you will find it for sale at stationery shops. It look as if you need to search models shops for it, inside one if you have any nearby you, or on model shop websites. Alternatively, you could look for another type of glue, that other user's have been suggesting to you.

My locomotive last year arrived in October. I think my membership ends in March. Depending on what the 2020 locomotive is, I will then decided if I want to renew.

Are you talking about the Bachmann Thomas & Friends HO/OO range? They don't produce Den either. That is also supposed to be being sold in this country, from this year. Not sure which part of the year though.

Thank you for the video link. 😀
It sounds there might be something amazing being released in the 2020 range. It also sounds promising and excitong though! 😮 😆 😉 😀

@walkingthedog
Thank you. 😀
Yes, I do think many would have been sold and when the model would be discontinued, model would certainly sell for a lot, like nost of the Thomas & Friends range does now, on eBay.
@LC&DR
Good point, but painting them so they look factory finished isn’t very easy. I prefer factory made models, rather than custom made.

Hornby should have put their Sentinel 4wDH tooling to good use, by releasing Den, from Thomas & Friends with it. I wished that Hornby had released Den, before they decided to discontinue the Thomas & Friends product range.
Den is a Sentinel 4wDH, who works and runs the Vicarstown Dieselworks, along with Dart. Dart is Bagnall Diesel Shunter and Hornby announced and released Dart (R9683), back in 2011. If memory serves me correctly, I do not think Hornby had the Sentinel 4wDH tooling back in 2011, but it was a couple of years after Dart was released, that Hornby has tooled it.
I do believe, that before the Thomas & Friends range was discontinued back in December 2018, Hornby had time to modify the Sentinel 4wDH model with a face and paint it in Den’s livery.

@RAF96
I have not thought about that. I think I will do that. 😀
Thank you Rob. Glad I can help somewhere. I always hope I do somebody, if not more than one person! 😆 😉 😀

My Eddie Stobart truck / lorry models are made by Oxford Diecast. Particulally the juggernaut trucks / lorries are too large. The tractor units look alright (Scale wise), but the trailers are too large in height, or that's how they appear.
When I go out spotting the real life Eddie Stobart trucks, the trailers are taller than the tractor units, but not tall as the model trailers are. I do believe truck / lorry models are overscaled.

@Rana Temporia
Oh yes, I think I have an image awaiting approval too! 😆
Perhaps you could post it now, or come back next week and do it. It's up to you. I suspect all images awaiting approval will be waiting until next week, I reckon, as you have already mentioned.

Is there anyway you can upload an image of that picture, or can you not do that, due to copyright?

R850/57, welcome to the Hornby Forum. 😀
Following up on Going Spare's reply above mine, I have found two listings on eBay, for the part you need. I have attached the cheaper listing for you here, as clickabe link: eBay - TRIANG HORNBY 00 GAUGE 4-6-2 FLYING SCOTSMAN X689 TRAIN CYLINDER BLOCK DRUM.

Yes, it isa very good prize. I couldn’t think of a better prize! 😆
I have never won anything, despite loads of competitions I have entered. I think I have given up with them, really.

That’s a lot of useful information you have posted there, LC&DR and I found some information that I didn’t even know; So thank you. 😀
What I do is that I have a train on my layout, conisting of a locomotive snd four coaches or less, then I will add my one brake coach at the end. The problem with my layout, is that a locomotive and four coaches on the outer track, takes up an entire length, so realistically that’s more than enough length of a train! 😆
If I had a locomotive running, with five or more coaches, then I would add a second brake behind the locomotive.

It could just be a complete custom that somebody has done. People modify locomotives and rolling stock a lot. It could however of had a white roof just over the cabs, in real life. I am sure if it did exist in real life like that, somebody will tell us. There's a lot of knowledge here.
