  1. Welcome to the Forum..........As you have the latest firmware version of the Select you can reset the TTS decoder. Write a value of 8 to CV8............HB
  2. Probably a case of lack of power from the 1 Amp PSU that comes with Elink and maybe time to upgrade to the 4 Amp power supply...........HB
  3. @Cwagler8...........this is the capacitor and wire clamp that need removing prior to wiring in the 8 pin socket......HB /media/tinymce_upload/6a53a2b8058180dfc8c3641879a6c3e3.jpg
  4. A 2 cylinder loco chuffs 4 times per revolution, each cylinder has twin chambers so chuffs twice and as the 2 cylinders are offset 90 degrees you hear the 4 chuffs but unfortunately TTS does not have this capability........I now only buy steam sound decoders with adjustable CV chuff rates........HB
  5. Does this happen on one particular point?..........HB
  6. Good idea Rob, I'd be agreeable to that.........HB
  7. Your loco and carriages will run on 2nd radius curves minimum so 3rd & 4th radii will be most suitable.......it is 1st radius curves that should be avoided unless you are running 0-4-0 and 0-6-0 locos........HB
  8. Thanks Rob.......I emailed Admin on 7th Dec but have heard nowt since..........HB
  9. The Green wire is switched via F25. I wonder if it's possible to incorporate a motion sensor in circuit with whatever device you wish to control that would be on when sensing forward movement then off when stationary or possibly a reed switch......care would be needed to avoid exceeding the function load limit of 100mA............HB
  10. Should look like this......... /media/tinymce_upload/48b40ef0f509b1a447ac71d07fcf6944.pngneed to move this part........ /media/tinymce_upload/26485816d924be8844cbf9d873863118.png
  11. Hi Norman..........looks like this one.........part no X4026...........HB /media/tinymce_upload/f4fb0267ce49110974644451f01226c9.png
  12. JH.......just a thought - are you sure you have plugged the R8249 decoder in the right way round, it would do no harm but will upset the lighting..........HB
  13. The Extension Packs are designed for the TrakMat layouts.......all you need are suitably sized straight pieces of track..........ie........R601 = 335mm, R600 = 168mm & R610 = 38mm.........so just calculate the lengths you need to achieve the require increase in size......HB
  14. No such luxury I'm afraid, we have to log each day to check for any replies...........HB
  15. I have a Bachmann Patriot fitted with a Loksound V4 decoder and I managed to get 7 sounds to play simultaneously...........conversely, the Hornby TTS decoder can only play 2. The clue is in the title i.e....TTS = Twin Track Sound.........you gets what ya pays for..........HB ps...........using the Elite
  16. @Taticmor..........As you have now seen the above posts I have emailed Admin as per advice from Chrissaf above....As soon as I have your email address I will contact you for your home address then can post #119 to you.........HB
  17. Hi Ian.............this may be the topic you are looking for.......... https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/forum/post/view/topic_id/1012/?p=1 ...........HB
  18. @Taticmoor.........I have #119 Collector Magazine spare that I'd be happy to post to you. Perhaps Chris could explain how we may be put in contact...........HB
  19. I can see no reason why a Hornby R8249 decoder or the Hattons 8 pin would not fit as long as the top of the 8 pin plug is covered in insulation tape and the capacitor is removed. Both of these decoders are smaller than the Zimo 600 I used as in above post..........HB
  20. There is no problem fitting an 8 pin decoder in the H class as long as it is not too wide. I fitted a Zimo because it has a plastic sleeve to protect the decoder from touching other metal.........HB PS I had to remove the supression capacitor first but it's not needed anyway to make room /media/tinymce_upload/725e9180279eebd976adb64a4fddeceb.png
  21. @Harlington..........you mentioned in July buying the Night Train set and expansion sets so you connected up to DC controllers.........have you completely removed the DC connections and converted your track to purely DCC by fitting Point Clips and changed to a DCC track connector?...........HB
  22. What utter nonsense.........HB
  23. Coincidently I have the Omni29 8 pin direct decoder fitted in to an Oxford Adam's Radial and I have to say it functions very well. Whilst it will not creep very well the very slow running is good..........HB
  24. /media/tinymce_upload/291aa05b1beb1a9d94478c160693853d.png Is this what you have in mind?..........HB
